Description: We would like to leverage JLSE resources to benchmark several algorithms for calling genetic variants (structural variants, snps etc) using approaches that use High Performance Computing and Deep Learning based architectures. We will be using publicly available genetics data that can be used without restrictions. We will specifically benchmark variant callers like Cue from Broad Institute, Parabricks tools from NVIDIA.
