Description: We will be using GPUs on JLSE to deploy a surrogate modeling intercomparison project for numerical weather forecasting. A DOE SULI intern – Cyril Le Doux (from the University of Chicago) will be running these models on JLSE. The idea is to compare different algorithms for the same data set and provide actionable guidance for deep learning of geophysical dynamical systems.
